It was always fun hanging out with him because he didn’t put up with shit—and I’m glad I was on his side.”

Scott’s wife, Denise, is celebrated as a saint and an incredible partner to Scott. The couple’s bond was evident to all who knew them, and their relationship was a source of inspiration. Adam recalled a special moment when he and Scott celebrated an anniversary for DIAP a year or two ago. “I just saw him for a Goose pre-game thing,” Adam said. “The choice was to hang with them or go to the Bitter End, and I wish I had gone with them to Raquet last time I saw him.”

Scott was so proud of his decision to move to Colorado to be closer to his children. Despite the distance, he continued working tirelessly, traveling back and forth between Colorado and Port Washington. His dedication to his family and career reflected his unwavering character and love for those around him.

When Adam was diagnosed with cancer last year, Scott and Denise gifted him a small stuffed animal with a powerful message: “Hold your loved ones close and squeeze this when in pain, and we are here for you.” Adam expressed his gratitude, emphasizing that now he must reciprocate that support for Denise and her children. “I feel horrible for you and the kids,” Adam said, “but you are so lucky, and we are all lucky to have such an amazing group of friends to count on.”
