The Florida Premier FC community is deeply mourning the tragic loss of Brody Swain, a bright young soul whose life was cut short in a devastating car accident. Brody, a beloved 15-year-old from New Port Richey, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 26, 2026. His sudden departure has left a profound void in the hearts of his family, friends, teammates, coaches, and everyone who knew him.

Brody was a dedicated student at River Ridge High School, where he was cherished not only for his intelligence but also for his cheerful personality, quick wit, and infectious laughter. Known for his kindness and positive outlook, Brody had a large circle of friends who valued his friendship and humor. His presence was a source of joy for many, and his smile could brighten even the gloomiest days.

A passionate soccer player, Brody loved the game deeply. His love for soccer began early in life and continued throughout his years playing for Florida Coast Futbol Club, Florida Premier, and Tampa Bay United. He was a devoted Arsenal fan, following every match with enthusiasm. Beyond his athletic pursuits, Brody harbored a dream of becoming an Air Force fighter pilot—a goal he was actively working toward, demonstrating his ambition and dedication.

Brody also found strength in his faith. He attended The Chapel in Trinity, where he was saved and baptized at age 13 in 2024. His spiritual journey was an important part of his life, guiding him and providing comfort and purpose.

He leaves behind a loving family, including his parents Bob and Darlene Swain, his sister and brother-in-law Kylie and Will, and his niece Tayah Faith Leader. His grandparents, Bob Sr. and Karen Swain, Joe and Bonnie Welch, along with aunts and uncles Tawny Swain, Erin and Austin Deren, and Connor Swain, will forever cherish his memory. Brody was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother Peggy Ann Young of Charleston, West Virginia.

A memorial service will be held at Trinity Memorial Gardens on Saturday, August 1st, at 4:00 PM. In honor of Brody’s vibrant spirit, his family invites friends and community members to donate to the Student Ministry at The Chapel, supporting youth programs that foster faith and personal growth.

The impact Brody made is best captured through heartfelt words from those who knew him well. Damaris Miranda, who taught Brody for two years, shared, “Brody was such a bright light in everyone’s lives. His contagious laughter, mischievous smile, and loving heart made him unforgettable. He dreamed of becoming a pilot and playing soccer in college—visions of a future filled with adventure and passion. Brody’s spirit will forever inspire those who loved him. His legacy of kindness, laughter, and dreams will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. As his family and friends continue to mourn, they also celebrate the beautiful life he led and the love he shared.
